Adam French

Adam’s favorite thing is working with cross-functional teams navigating complex problems at the intersection of business and technology. Previous to SDS he collaborated at DEKA, Stanford, IDEO, Magnet, Otherlab, and Loon. Notable work has included meaningful contributions and leadership on teams addressing ultra-efficient water purification, load-carrying bicycle development, robotic solar powerplant equipment, a scar reducing surgical dressing, novel stratospheric aircraft systems, and the curriculum at Stanford’s d.school. In approaching design problems Adam draws as often from his experience as a class V river guide, substance abuse counselor, yacht builder, mountaineer, and devoted father of two as he does from his formal training in Engineering.
